What to expect

What should I expect?

Starmount is a warm community of Christ-followers who welcomes all who visit. We believe that God, who loves you, has a place, a plan, a purpose and a meaning for you and for the world. We welcome an opportunity to help you fulfill that plan. As a church family we strive to know God better through worship, fellowship, and missions.

When you arrive you will be greeted by a friendly face at the door who can answer any questions or point you where you need to go. Our worship services are great times of celebration in which we seek to uplift and magnify the name of our God while being inspired and encouraged to live for Him. Our pastors preach a relevant message from God’s Word and frequently follow the Revised Common Lectionary which are taken from The New Revised Standard Version Translation of The Bible. The service music is a unique blend of music designed to appeal to all styles and tastes.

What is the schedule for Sunday Mornings?

During the school year we have an education hour from 9:00-9:45am with Sunday School classes for the entire family. During the summer months this changes slightly, so please check the website to see what is currently being offered.

Our worship service meets from 10:00-11:00 every Sunday.

Check our website to see if there are any Fellowship opportunities after Worship that you may be interested in! These are a great way to get to know the people that make Starmount special.

What about my children?

We provide professional childcare from 8:45-11:15am for children ages birth to 2 years. There are Sunday school classes available for 3 and up. Children of any age are invited into worship. Following the Children’s Message, children ages 3 to 2nd grade may remain in Worship or go to an age-appropriate Sunday School class. If children choose to remain in worship, we provide a worship bag with quiet activities.

What should I wear?

Some people wear shorts and sandals, and others feel comfortable in coats and ties. Many women wear casual attire, and some wear dresses or suits. Most clothing is casual, but everyone feels comfortable in wearing whatever they enjoy.
