UKirk Greensboro

We reach out to our college aged members who are away from home through care packages and notes of encouragement. For local college aged students, Starmount partners with UKirk Greensboro. UKirk GSO is a college and young adult ministry that supports college and graduate students from UNC-G, Greensboro College, Guilford College, and GTCC. Our own Pastor Kathryn serves as a Chaplain to UKirk GSO.

Starmount believes that the faith journey does not end when someone graduates from high school.

UKirk Greensboro meets at the Presbyterian Holderness House at 409 S. Mendenhall Street, on the corner of S. Mendenhall and Walker Avenue, just one short block from Tate Street and UNC-G’s campus.

Events and activities are scheduled primarily for during the Fall and Spring Semesters:

  • All are invited to worship on the first Tuesday of the month at 7 p.m.
  • Other Tuesdays during the month feature programming geared toward meeting college students where they are, having bible studies, discussions, and speakers that challenge them in thinking more deeply about their faith and their community.
  • All are invited to FREE LUNCH each Wednesday that school is in session. Drop by the House anytime between 11:30 and 1:00 to enjoy a lunch provided by one of the local Presbyterian congregations, or friends of UKirk GSO.

UKirk GSO participates in the Montreat College Conference each year, scheduled between semesters from January 2-5. The ministry also actively partners with Peacehaven Farm, another mission and ministry of Salem Presbytery.
