Activities are regularly scheduled for young adults in college and graduate school, young professionals just starting out in the “real world”, and families with young children. For those who are college-age, events tend to be concentrated to breaks in the college and university semesters. For those in graduate school and in “the school of life,” young adults gather weekly (and sometimes more!) for fellowship, study, and service.
Starmount believes strongly in the need for young adults to connect with one another regularly in fellowship and faith.
One of Starmount’s longest running and well-known ministry programs for Young Adults is Guinness and the Good News. The group gathers on the first Wednesday of the month at The Porterhouse Bar and Grill, just down the street, at 8 pm for food, fellowship, and libations. The topic of conversation varies from month-to-month, but is usually from the week’s top headlines. Topics chosen are thought provoking and discussions revolve around how those gathered view it through a faith-based lens.
Starmount also partners with UKirk Greensboro. UKirk GSO is a college and young adult ministry specifically supporting college and graduate students from UNC-G, Greensboro College, Guilford College, and GTCC.
