HOW WE INSPIRE
Whether it be with scripture readings, uplifting sermons or moving music, Starmount strives to provide its members with many ways to praise and worship God. Our welcoming Sunday service mixes traditional and contemporary mediums of prayer, reflection and praise.
After over a year of suspended in-person services, worship will return to our sanctuary with limited numbers in May. Registration will open to the congregation on the Monday before with a 50 person maximum, and all others can view a live-stream of the service at home on our YouTube page, via email and on this website.
Music is always a centerpiece of our worship ritual. Before COVID, Starmount invited all members to participate by lending their talents and spirit to Sunday worship services. See below for a list of our choirs who rehearse together and participate in worship. Although we have missed our choirs, we have been fortunate to feature small vocal groups and musicians in our virtual worship services.
“Experiencing and enjoying God and one another is the heart of worship at Starmount.”

Incorporate spiritual practices into your daily life.
Practices of prayer, meditation and devotion is important to our spiritual health. Starmount encourages its members to allocate time each day to not only pray for others, but to listen for God’s guidance. Seasonal devotionals can help focus your spiritual practices. Below is a devotional from Presbyterian Outlook for Lent and another for Holy Week compiled of 7 days of devotional reflections by our Starmount staff:
