STARMOUNT’S MISSIONS ACROSS THE GLOBE
Congo Pig and Farm Project
For over a decade Starmount, with the support of Salem Presbytery’s International Hunger committee and Congolese Presbyterian Church, have developed chicken and crop farms in the Democratic Republic of Congo. The farm projects began with an idea from Congolese Presbyterian and Veterinarian, Dr. Jean Paul Beya. Dr. Methy N’day has also added her skills to help develop the chicken/egg farms. The farms are located in Kananga, Tubuluku and Tshikiji, where these sustainable ministries help to provide much needed high quality food as well as economic development within the local economy. They have helped to bring the justice of Jesus for the poor to the people of Congo.
