Community Garden

The Starmount Community Garden was founded in May 2009 on the edge of Starmount’s property, adjacent to the parking lot. This 10-row, 20′ x 4′ vegetable garden is open to all who want to help feed the hungry of Greensboro. Our vegetables go to Share the Harvest, an agency formed by 5 church community gardens. We distribute our combined harvests, along with donations from local gardeners, farms, and the A&T Farm, to agencies that either prepare a meal for the hungry or have a food pantry in Guilford County.

Workdays during the growing season are Saturday mornings. Our garden is truly a multi-generational mission. We have volunteers of all ages that serve as gardeners weekly–there is a job for everyone!
